MERLOT categorizes materials by type; within teacher education, learning materials are organized by categories. Within the category of Teaching Methods, there are also sub-categories by discipline.

Learning Materials can be found in two ways:

1. Browse - Pick a category from "Browse Materials."
2. Search - Input a specific phrase in the Search box, or use Advanced Search to find more specific information

   Click on the topic to see the complete listing or on the arrow to expand the list.

MERLOT is participating in a collaboration with Carnegie's KEEP Toolkit. The KEEP Toolkit allows educators to create brief online Snapshots of their work in teacher education. KEEP Snapshots can record the way a teacher uses an online resource, as in Cris Guenter's Arts Lesson. The Snapshot can also be used to describe and extend a MERLOT website. Teacher Education Award winner, Jon Mueller, has created a Snapshot about the Authentic Assessment Toolkit:
